Bex and Jez’s wedding was a really lovely relaxed day with some fun little nods to their love of gig rowing (check out the confetti shot with an oar arch above!). It all started with Bex walking up the hill from the village to her local church (St Leonard’s Church, Tortworth) with a lovely ceremony. Apparently, within about 15 minutes of the local community being aware they were getting married, the church was booked, the bell ringers arranged, the organ player sorted and all sorts. Talk about a community that knows how to get things done!
At the end of the ceremony, Bex and Jez made their grand exit from the church under an archway created by their mates holding oars. Then, they soaked up the sun & caught up with friends and family on this gorgeous summer day before heading to Hawkesbury Parish Hall, a fantastic village hall nearby. This place had it all—a fantastic kids playpark and plenty of room for camping and kids to run wild.
After a delicious meal and speeches, which were just the right mix of heart warming and hilarious, the party really got started with a Ceilidh/ Barn dance. Now, we’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, bands are awesome for getting a dancefloor pumping but a barn dance/ ceilidh is even better for guarenteeing it stays that way throughout! Even though I was only due to stick around for 15 minutes of the dancing, I managed to capture a ton of photos because that dancefloor was bursting with energy!
In a nutshell, Bex and Jez’s wedding was an absolute blast. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and all the things that make a celebration unforgettable. Check out a selection of their snaps below!
