Regen & Roland’s Wedding | Nottingham City Council House

We don’t very often do weddings in the center of a city but they really are great fun – I love the contrast between people going about their day to day lives and a couple walking through the streets in full wedding great. The honking of horns, congratulations from complete strangers & the ability for the bride to send a friend off to buy a Starbucks as they had arrived early and were waiting outside the Council House – it’s all great fun!

The day started for me at Regen and Roland’s house with a bit of groom prep which for these guys apparently involved a shot of obscure Hungarian liqueur! Then I headed over to the Premier Inn in the city where Regen was getting ready, and putting on those beautiful Jimmy Choos and then off we walked through town where we arrived too early to be let in, as did Roland. So, having known how laid back they were I wasn’t at all surprised when they decided to just hang out by the entrance together (they ditched that tradition pretty quickly which is always fun to see!), posing for a few quick group shots and of course, Regen sending one of her mates to Starbucks for a coffee!

The ceremony itself was lovely and was streamed across the world on various phones to friends and family who couldn’t make it. Following the ceremony it was over to The Brewhouse & Kitchen over by Trent Bridge where the couple kicked into the party spirit – Regen was straight to the bar to order a shot upon arrival! What followed were lovely speeches and plenty of dancing and drinking!

What an awesome day – congrats again Regen and Roland!
